Taylor Swift is giving her fans a little taste of her new album early. She debuted the music video for her latest single "Love Story" this month. "I wrote that one by myself, so I'm extra excited that it's the first single," Swift writes of the newly-released song in a post on her MySpace.
The lead-off single from her upcoming album Fearless, due in stores November 11th, is about "a love that you've got to hide because for whatever reason it wouldn't go over well," the singer tells Billboard. "I relate to it more as a love that you cannot really elaborate on, a love that maybe society wouldn't accept [or] maybe your friends wouldn't accept."
She reveals her concept for the song's video.
"It's different than all the ones we've made in the past," she writes, adding coyly, "we may be going back in time for this video. Maybe. Not that I'm hinting at anything. At all."
Recently nominated for a Country Music Association Award (for female vocalist of the year), Swift blogs about the honor, writing, "I didn't expect to be nominated in that category, so I was really shocked. Being in a category with Carrie [Underwood], Miranda [Lambert], Alison [Krauss], and Martina [McBride] feels so unreal. Those are my heroes. I look up to them so much."
"Love Story" impacts Top 40 on October 7th.

Big Machine Records starlet Taylor Swift will be releasing her highly anticipated sophomore CD, called Fearless, on November 11th. The album contains 13 new tracks, all written or co-written by Taylor. She co-produced the album with Nathan Chapman, and the first single will be released to radio in early September.
Among the 13 tracks is "Change," one of a small number of songs selected by Team USA and NBC to play over daily video highlights of the 2008 Summer Olympic Games in Beijing, China. The song is about overcoming challenges and achieving victory, and it is now available for sale on iTunes.
Also on the new album is a collaboration with singer/songwriter Colbie Caillat called "Breathe," and "Fifteen," a "poignant coming-of-age ballad" that Taylor premiered last fall at the Country Music Hall of Fame's All For The Hall benefit in New York City.
Fearless will be available for special pre-sale beginning August 22nd on the soon-to-be-launched website, www.TheTaylorNation.com. A limited edition deluxe box set will be available for purchase that includes the CD, a Fearless leather bracelet, a Fearless t-shirt, a Fearless picture book and a "The Taylor Nation" decal. The first 10,000 fans who buy the deluxe package will have the opportunity to have their own picture included in the album's artwork and on the package's CD ROM by uploading their photos to the website.
