One of the defining breakthrough bands of last year, The Enemy concluded 2007 with a succession of praise from the end of year round-ups including Q - Best New Band, The Sun - Best New Comer and The Daily Mirror – Best Rock Act. The band’s first release of the year will be the single ‘This Song’ that is due for release on March 17th on Warner Bros. Records.
The fifth single to be taken from the #1 album ‘We’ll Live And Die In These Towns’, ‘This Song’ finds The Enemy in more reflective mood than what we’ve seen in rousing hit singles such as ‘Away From Here’ and ‘It’s Not OK’. A poignant anthem reflecting social decay in modern Britain, ‘This Song’ represents a defining soundtrack to the opening of a new year.
The single’s b-sides will include a remix by Faithless and another courtesy of the Remix The Enemy competition winner.
We are still enjoying "This Song" music video by The Enemy (a Thumbs Up!) although its been over three months since its been released (January, 2008). Why not? Songs don't get old, they get better.
Ahh look a song which should have received more attention. A pity...
