Finland, the land of eternal darkness or light (depending on when you happen to find yourself in Helsinki), has become a hotbed of musical output in recent years. Progenitors of their own particular brand of "Love Metal," fellow Finns H.I.M., have burst onto the US rock scene complete with faux vampire stylings, goth-inspired imagery and a firm endorsement from the decidedly UN-Finnish Bam Margera.

Hot on their heels are the already well-established international superstars The Rasmus. This Finnish quartet released an album ("Dead Letters") in the US back in 2003 and, with a mere two tour dates (NY & LA) and virtually no marketing support, they went on to sell over 100,000 albums.

Well, The Rasmus are back again with their internationnally Platinum-certified Hide From the Sun, an album that combines chunky guitar riffs, saccharine-sweet choruses, keyboard washes and just a touch of Nordic darkness all into one undeniable album. The US edition of Hide From the Sun features 5 bonus tracks not available on the import, along with an exclusive video for the track "Immortal". Like their country mates in HIM, The Rasmus also have the solid endorsement of Bam Margera, and are ready to storm the States this Fall in support of their release Hide From the Sun.
