The White Stripes: Conquest video + song

'Conquest' is released as a single through XL Recordings on 31st December 2007. The third single to be taken from their recent number one album, Icky Thump. The single will be accompanied by an incredible video that has been directed by prolific musical videographer Diane Martel. Shot over two days in Artesia, California, it's filmed with a visual urgency that brings the song's Spanish themes, frantic horns and compulsive pounding rhythms to life, following a explosive - if unconventional - love story that pits man against bull in the ultimate conquest. To make his performance as authentic as possible, Jack trained extensively with famous bullfighter Dennis Borba prior to shooting the video.

We gave "Conquest" music video by The White Stripes a listen and yeah, we like it. Let's see if it will 'grow' on us. (January, 2008) Remember: oldie but goodie. Like wine, some songs get better due time. Is this one of them or was it just a one-day wonder?
