One-man band Throw Me The Statue unveils his first indie-pop gem in the form of “Lolita” a bouncy drum machine driven, xylophone sprinkled song recalling Magnetic Fields and Belle and Sebastian if they were to suddenly collaborate with The Avalanches. The song is all high energy beats matched with a twee-pop sensibility, and utterly enjoyable.

We gave "Lolita" music video by Throw Me The Statue a listen and yeah, we like it. Let's see if it will 'grow' on us. (July, 2008) Ahh look a song which should have received more attention. A pity...
