THROWDOWN’S new album “DEATHLESS” is being released this Tuesday on E1 Entertainment. The album, “DEATHLESS,” follows THROWDOWN’s most powerfully diverse offering, Venom & Tears, which critics hailed as the best effort from the band. Revolver Magazine has called THROWDOWN “the future of metal.”
THROWDOWN knows how tough things are right now for everyone due to today’s economic landscape. That being said, THROWDOWN wants to do everything in their power to make their music and shows affordable and accessible for their fans.
THROWDOWN plans to give back to their fans in many ways with the release of their new album DEATHLESS. Fans will be able to pre-order the new album from I-Tunes for only $7.99.
THROWDOWN will be joined by Bury Your Dead, For Today, ABACABB and The World We Knew. This tour follows THROWDOWN’s current European tour with Chimaira and Unearth.
Singer Dave Peters had the following to say about this amazing opportunity from THROWDOWN for their fans:
“Without our fans there is no album, no tour, no Throwdown. We are fortunate enough to have such a die-hard following that has made this band what is today. We're playing a number of smaller towns and smaller clubs on this tour and trying to give our fans an intimate show to remember at a low ticket price. "Times are tough" goes the cliche, especially in the music world, and we're just doing what we think every artist and label should be, which is acknowledging that and acting accordingly toward the people that keep us doing what we love after all these years.”
Vocalist Dave Peters had the following to say about the forthcoming release:
“We're very excited to have our fans finally hear this album from start to finish. When we write and select songs for the album and then create the track listing, we make it a point to have the sequence flow in a story format, so it's always a little bittersweet when we put a "single" out before the record is actually released. We like sharing that one song but at the same time would rather fans hear it in context of the album.”
“We've been off the road for about a year, immersed in the process of making this record the best we've ever created on a songwriting and production level. Hearing it in its completed state for the first time as a band was gratifying, but finally getting to share it with the people that matter most and then play those songs live for them is really what completes the whole circle. Feels good to finally be at that point.”
The upcoming album, DEATHLESS, follows THROWDOWN’s most powerfully diverse offering, Venom & Tears, which critics hailed as the best effort from a band. Revolver Magazine has called THROWDOWN “the future of metal.”

Throwdown biography
"Throwdown effortlessly kick out the heaviest and most stomping metal this side of Texas. Proudly and defiantly keeping the memory (and sound) of Pantera alive and kicking!" -- Metal Hammer
Dave Peters (vocals), Mark Choiniere (guitar), Mark Mitchell (bass)
Throwdown, tightly coiled, is squeezing the world for the kill and poised to sink their collective fangs into the backbone of American metal. Rising from the underground world of the do-it-yourself hardcore scene with a recipe made up of Pantera, Machine Head, Sepultura and early Metallica, their mission is boldly proclaimed both on the stage and on record.
Their targets? The vacuous mainstream, the fashionable phonies in the "scene," and the wannabe tough guys who hop just as eagerly from trend to trend while swearing their supposed loyalty to "keeping it real."
With their values intact and their pride holstered at their sides, Throwdown have issued ultimatum after ultimatum with empowering, venom-fueled songs. Liars and fakes, move aside, or be crushed.
Throwdown destroyed the second stage on Ozzfest. Owned the inaugural Sounds Of The Underground. Headlined a stage on Vans Warped Tour.
As seen at venues across the globe on tour with Killswitch Engage, Korn, Machine Head, As I Lay Dying, Lamb Of God and In Flames, as well as on their own “Scum Of The Earth” headlining tour with Soilwork, Throwdown threaten to unleash their most fully realized work yet with Deathless.
Scheduled for release in 2009, Deathless follows Throwdown’s most powerfully diverse offering, Venom & Tears, which critics hailed as the best effort from a band Revolver Magazine has called part of “the future of metal.” The record delivered on the promise hinted at by the full-on contempt for defeat and strength through adversity championed on classic Throwdown albums like Vendetta (2005) and Haymaker (2003).
Throwdown’s heavy metallic fury and venomous is timeless, recalling the heyday of mid-90s metal with the spirit of traditional street punk and hardcore. "Burn" lit MTV2's "Headbanger's Ball" ablaze, earning a coveted spot on the compilation of the same name. Within hours of being posted, newer tracks like "Holy Roller" and "S.C.U.M." have garnered millions of online plays from the Throwdown faithful.
Get ready for a new level of heavy music with depth, passion and truthful emotion. Get ready for Throwdown.
