Send to a FriendThe spirit of Tupac Shakur lives on. Thug Life and Outlawz, both led by the late Shakur, have united for the second time to release THUG LAW- Thug Life Outlawz, Chapter 2.

Four years in the making, the first Thug Law album was a labor of love for Big Syke, who executive produced both albums. The second album was out of demand. When asked why he wanted to bring the two crews together he said, "Everywhere I went, people would always ask me what was up with the other cats from Thug Life? Was I still down with the Outlawz? When is new music coming out? Putting the album together answers a lot of those questions." Syke was also quick to point out that the other members were supportive of the project from the beginning, and lent their talents. The entire album is fresh and loaded with never before released music. The debut single, "Feelin Like An Outlaw" features Kastro, EDI, Flamez and of course, Big Syke.
"Thug Life, Vol.1" was released on Interscope in 1995 to critical acclaim and the Thug Life crew was soon dubbed as "socially conscious rappers." The Outlawz appeared on the Tupac Shakur albums, "Me Against The World," "All Eyez On Me" and went on to release "Still I Rise" in 1999 and "Ride Wit Us Or Collide With Us" in 2000.
The debut album from the two supergroups, THUG LAW- Thug Life Outlawz, Chapter 1 was released in October of 2001. Look for the new album THUG LAW, Chapter 2 set for a September 2nd release date. The album features Mopreme, Kastro, EDI, Village Boo, Crucial Conflict and Napoleon.
ABOUT THUG LIFE: Led by the late Tupac Shakur, the rap crew Thug Life also featured Big Syke, Macadoshis, Mopreme (Shakur's half-brother Komani), and Rated R; the group's lone album, Volume 1, appeared on Interscope in 1995. Socially conscious rappers Thug Life rap about inner-city happenings, but also address the problems, which cause the hopeless feeling of many residents. Musically, they borrow aspects of G-funk and New York hip-hop. Though it's led by the rap hit "Cradle to the Grave," Volume 1 has more to offer, like the ghetto lament "Pour out a Little Liquor" and the intriguingly reflective "How Long Will They Mourn Me?" featuring Nate Dogg. -From All Music Guide
ABOUT OUTLAWZ: West Coast rappers Outlawz are known primarily for their affiliation with 2Pac. It was on 2Pac's Makaveli album that Outlawz first came to the greater rap community's notice, appearing on a few songs. In 1999 they were co-billed on the posthumous 2Pac album Still I Rise, granting them even more recognition and furthering their short-lived affiliation. It wasn't until late 2000, though, that they finally got the go-ahead to release their debut album, Ride Wit Us or Collide Wit Us. Featuring a cover that placed 2Pac's image in the foreground, along with numerous references to the deceased legend, this debut made the most of Outlawz' reputation for being 2Pac's supposed prot?g?s. -From All Music Guide
