Tino Coury

Tino Coury released his fresh hit-single “Diary” a few months ago. Expect his album to drop soon with a variety of styles. In the meantime he releases exclusive songs on YouTube and MusicRemedy. I had the chance to ask a couple of questions, i.e., his new album, his goal, back-up plans, attention, etc… Check it out!

[Q]: First off, love the song ‘Diary’. What is the story behind the song?
Thanks so much! I appreciate it! Well I been through that situation before where I read something I didn’t expect to see. And I’ve seen so many people go through the same thing. So when I went to my piano to start writing “I read your Diary” I took all those experiences/feelings and words just started coming out of me.

[Q]: Your single “Diary” was released in March 2010. It took some time to get its well-deserved attention. Now that it has, what has change?
I’m getting new fans everyday and I think the word is spreading a lot quicker now. More and more opportunities arise like shows, and interviews, etc. That gives me a chance to get my name and music out there even more.

[Q]: Will the new album be in the same style or can we expect something new/else?
The album got a little bit of everything. From live instruments to ballads to club tracks. You can def expect great stories attached with great beats just like “Diary” had. That’s what I try to keep consistent with every song.

[Q]: What is your main goal to reach as an artist? How about in personal life?
The main goal I want to reach as an artist is to be able to tour arenas one day. I wanna sell out like a staples center or madison square garden. I love huge performances like that. In my personal life I would love to become a successful producer/songwriter. I see myself developing other acts for sure.

[Q]: Like in ‘younger’ years, there is a possibility an accident could occur and you wouldnot be able to perform. What is your ‘back-up’-plan?
What’s funny is music was my back-up plan until I got injured playing football my senior year. But if something would occur again and I can’t do music I would def finish school and get my degree.

[Q]: When creating a track, do you have a set theme and pre-written lyrics, or do you start with an idea or the music first?
I approach every song differently. Sometimes I start with making the beat first. Or I can start with some concepts and lyrics and go to my guitar and piano and start putting the song together. Every song has its own path for sure.

[Q]: You have just posted a new exclusive song to YouTube entitled “Leave Me My Pen”. Will there be more exclusive songs released through the internet?
Yes! I just posted some more songs on my youtube channel and myspace page.
The links are www.youtube.com/tinocoury and www.myspace.com/tinocoury There is “Miss America”, “Real World”, and “Memory” are the newest.

[Q]: What collaborations could your fans look out for in the future?
I def have some collaborations in the works right now! I can’t give anything away yet I wanna keep it a surprise!

[Q]: Which World-Cup soccer team would you like to win the Cup 2010? Why??
I wanted USA to win but they came up short. I thought they had a real solid team this year but they just couldn’t execute when it mattered.

[Q]: Recently, what is a typical day like for you?
I travel a lot now doing shows. So I spend a lot of time on planes. If I’m not traveling I’m either in the studio, or catching up on all the things I need to do when I was on the road. Its great being so busy though cause I’m doing what I love!!

[Q]: Final words?
I wanna thank all my fans for all there continued support it has been incredible. I cannot be here without them! And if you don’t know where to find me here are my links…
